Tere head suusasõbrad anna omalt poolt ka kommentaari, miks, kuidas ja kelle pärast alutaguse raja 43km ringi tagumise osaga selliselt läks. Esmalt kes on süüdi, süüdi on Robert Peets, mina andisin rajameistrile ja eessõitjatele kõik juhised kuidas ja mida teha. Natuke taustas, miks sellised otsuses. Maratoni nädala kolmapäeva öö vastu neljapäeva oli ootmatult soe +4 ja väga tugev tuul, mille järel oli rajale tekkinud mitmeid kriitilisi kohti, kus oli vaja labidaga tööd teha ja lund juurde vedada. See töö sai lõplikult tehtud reede õhtuks, mille järel oli rajamasinal võimalik kogu ring uuesti läbi sõita ja 43km ringi tagaosa ka jäljed tõmmata. See töö sai tehtud ja kogu rada valmis laupäeva hommikul kella 6ks. Peale seda algas tugev lumesadu, mis kestis kuni kell 9ni, lumesadu kestis kuni stardihetkeni. Andsime rajameistrile paar tundi und ja võimaluse traktor tankida ja masin läks uuesti rajale kell 9.00 kui lumesadu juba väiksem oli. Kuna kogu ringi tegemine klassika jälgedega võtab aega minimaalselt 7 tundi siis otsustasin, et teeme rajamaisnaga ainult 21 km ringi, see töö sai tehtud kella 12ks. Siis jäi väike ajavaru ka finiši koridori üle tegemiseks. Pika ringi tagumise pauna tegemises oli laual kaks variant, saata välja saan mille taga on kerge järel veetav Yellowstone rajamasin või minna ATVga, kus taga nööride otsas suusatajad, kes jälgi lahti sõidavad. Otsus langes järel veetavate suusatajate kasuks, sest öösel enne lumesadu valmis tehtud jäljed said aega külmuda ja oli lootus et peale eessõitjaid jäävad mingidki jälje laadsed joones. Yellowstoni kahjuks oli asjaolu, et selle järel jääv pilt on ilus aga peale mõnda suusatajat veel hullem lumepuder ja oluliselt raskem enamuse suusatajate jaoks. Küsimus kas kõik otsused olid õige mina lõpliku kindlusega väita ei julge. Võibolla oleks võinud esimestele suusatajatele paremat visuaali pakkuda, aga lõpptulemus enamus osalejate jaoks oleks tõenäoliselt üsna sarnane olnud. Korraldada sõit 2 x 21 km ringi formaadis ei olnud ka lahendus, siis oleks olnud vaja viimasel hetkel teha täiendav rajatähistus, meil on kattuv 3km start/finiš, TP-de logistika ning lisaks oleks tulnud stardiaegasid muuta ja see ei ole tund enne starti aktsepteeritav lahendus. Aga kõigile osalejatele jõudu ja loodame, et Tartu Maratonil on olud palju paremad.

Rada lõppes natuke enne esimest teeninduspunkti, kui lühike ja pikk maa lahku läksid, ca. 8,5km peal ja taas tuli tagasi peale viimast teeninduspunkti, ca. 31 kilomeetril. Vahepealsest on juba küll juttu olnud. Tuju ja motti sai metsa vahele vahepeal ära kaotada, õnneks viimaseks dekaadiks jälle ülesse leitud! Numbri järgi oleks võinud eespool startida, aga sai rahulikult võtta ja pea lõpust liikuma hakata. Tegelikult esimestel kilomeetritel oli rada juba pehme võitu, lahtise lumega, sarnane oli ka eelmisel aastal. Selline tunne, et peale öömaratoni ei jõuta korralikult rada sisse sõita. Vbl tasuks tulevikus öömaraton ka klassikas teha, lihtsam järgmiseks hommikuks rada ette valmistada... Oli keeruline, eriline, meeldejääv, kõige aeglasem Alutaguse maraton. Vähemalt suusad libisesid ja pidasid väga hästi. Ametlik määrdepartner tegi head tööd, viimasteks kilomeetriteks jätkus suuskadele piisavalt libisemist kui ka pidamist! Kokkuvõttes hea tujuga lõpetatud ja jaksu jäi reservigi. Suured tänud TP-de vabatahtlikele hea töö eest! Vesi oli enamasti soe ja söödavat piisavalt! Ja üsna pea paistabki, mida põnevat TM meile sel aastal pakub.

Kolmandas sajas liikuja vaade. Siin lahmitakse rämeda kriitikaga raja ettevalmistamise kohta, ma sellega suuresti nõus EI ole. Lumesadu oli Ida-Virus tihe just vastu hommikut, põhimõtteliselt kell 10 suurem sadu alles lõppes. Ning sadas 2x rohkem kui prognoositi. Traktor oli ju hommikul viimase hetkeni rada tegemas, lihtsalt Kurtna looduskaitseala kitsastel metsasihtidel liigub traktor aeglasel – see ole ju TM-i taoline „lennukoridor“. Värskest kergest lumest ilma märkimisväärsete külmakraadideta muudmoodi ei saaks ka talutavalt rada, kui aeglaselt voolides. Kuna staadioniteadustaja oli ka maha hõiganud, et pikka ringi pole masinaga üle tehtud, siis olin mentaalselt valmis lumes sumpamiseks. Paistis et prognoosist suurema lumehulga tõttu polnud nööriga ATV järel veetud raja suuskadel lahtisõitjatest seekord tolku – esimese otsa mehed eelistasid vist kohati ATV kitsa lindi jäetud vagu ning sellega tekkis paras puder tagumiste jaoks. Aga noh, rajapõhi oli tugev, kepid läbi ei vajunud ning raskematel meestel ei tundunud probleeme olema – pigem makaronid paistsid võbelevat :) Teadmine, et viimane 10km võiks suht norm rada olla, aitas motti üleval hoida. Lisaks minu ümbruses sõitnud hästilõhnastatud daamid :) Kaassõitjad olid viisakad, lasin ise ja lasti mind mööduda. Lõpuosas olidki suusajäljed üllatavalt normaalsed, arvestades et tardumisaega oli rajal napilt. Iga kell eelistan sellist pikka ringi, kui et 2x sõita lühemat. Kaheringilisena oleks teisel läbimisel värske lume sisse tehtud rada tagumiste jaoks ikkagi olematu olnud.

Ise küll matkasin peale kella 12 pikal rajal. Pole nii rasket matkamist olnudki. Ei tea küll liiga palju radade tegemisest, aga ilmselt on keeruline kui mõned tunnid enne starti tuleb 5-10cm lund maha. Ega see rajamasin vist ka väga kiirelt seda 43 km ei läbi. Kõvemad-kergemad naised-mehed kaotasid ajas ehk 15-30min. Veidi kehvemad ja raskemad suusatajad ilmselt ca 1h. Vorss Mazoori ehk ilma vastu ikka naljalt ei saa... Mõtleme Ukrainale ja saame aru, et see rajaprobleem on tegelt tühi-tähi...

ei saa mitte vaiki olla ja sellist haltuurat ei oleks küll oodanud. See ei ole maratoni rada, selliseid metsamatku võib tasuta ka Kõrvemaa kandis teha. Alutaguse on olnud läbi aastate minu lemmik maratone, aga sel korral oli pettumus suur. Start ei olnud ju kl 9, et ei jõudnud 2 h enne traktoriga rajale (lühike ring tahenes ju suht rahuldavalt). Kuidas on võimalik, et 21 km maratoni rada kulgeb loperdusel metsarajal? Natuke raskematel ja klassikasuusaga meestel polnud sel korral midagi teha, kui lõpuni kannatada.

Ka mina pole üldiselt eriline viriseja, aga nii kehavasid rajatingimusi pole paljude aastate jooksul näinud ei Eesti ega välismaratonidel. Kuna ilmaennustus oli pikalt teada, oleks võinud ju natuke osalejate raha investeerida ja mõne rajamasina raskeks hommikuks appi tuua. Finishisse jōudes on alati emotsioon hea, aga kahjuks seekordsel Alutaguse maratonil sōidu käigus erilist naudingut ei tundnud.

Kas korraldajad kordagi sellele ei mõelnud, et teeks sõidu kahe lühema (kuid sõidetava) ringiga, kui hommikul masinaga rada sisse ei tahetud sõita. See mis suurel ringil peale 10 kilomeetrit toimus oli ikka totaalselt ootamatu. Vähemalt nende jaoks kes polnud esisajas. Ei tule naljalt meelde, et üle poole trassist ei ole lihtsalt rada!! Paksu lume, puuduva jälje ja ebastabiilse põhjaga oli see ikka paras piin. Ilm oli ju täpselt selline nagu mitu päeva varem ennustatud ehk ei tohtinud just üllatus olla.

Kuidas radade ettevalmistused on viimastel päevadel sujunud? Kas on saanud seda teha, mida plaanisite? Enne starti on radadele erinevate prognooside järgi oodata päris palju lund. Kas vahetult enne starti on plaanis rada rajamasinaga ka üle käia? Või on plaan rada viimasena üle teha peale öömaratoni ja enne lumesadu?

ALUTAGUSE MARATONI 43km stardigrupid moodustatakse eelregistreerunute vahel, arvestades Estoloppeti 2022 a., 23. Alutaguse Maratoni ja Estoloppeti 2022 a. parima maratoni tulemust.

Kergliiklusteel rada sees ja seda võivad kõik kasutada, pikkus 4km ja klassika jälg olemas, liikumine kahesuunaline.

Paar aastat tagasi oli Alutagusel võimalik maratoni ajal ka mitte maratoonaritel suusatada. See oli ilmselt kergliiklusteele tehtud suusarada, kus enne maratoni ka võistlejad soojendasid. Kas sel aastal on samuti võimalik maratoni ajal seal samas (või mujal) suusatada?

Parkimine on keskuse parklas ja Pannjärve karjääri teel. Kogu mahutatavus on 800+ autot. Kaugeim auto stardijoonest tuleb parkida 300m kaugusele.

Tervitus, lund on maratoni toimumiseks piisavalt. Juba enne eilsel ööl ja täna juurde sadanud 20cm lumele oli terve raja ulatuses klassika jälg korralik. Pika ringi tegemine on meie suur prioriteet, hetkel on ainuke takistus üks soine lõik, mida rajamasinaga läbida ei saa aga küll me sellele lahenduse leiame. Sellel aastal saab keskuses pesta. Lisaks on ÖÖmaratonil osalejate päralt neli sauna (kolm välistingimustes) ja üks tünnisaun.

Olukorrast Alutaguse rajal, seis on metsas üle ootuste hea. Kogu raja ulatuses on põhi säilinud, kui lisalund tuleb nagu osad ilmaprognoosid lubavad, siis peaks ka klassika jälg täitsa korralik saama. Selgelt on rajal mõned lõigud (metsatööde lõik), kus peame labida kätte võtma ja oleme valmis seda ka tegema.
